As an event and wedding photographer, you have to have everything on hand to get those perfect photos.
I went with the Lowepro Pro Roller x200-AW to carry all my essentials. I’ll be doing a full product review of the roller bag at a later time.
There are many configurations of my gear. At this time, I decided to carry some mixed lighting gear as I had an event where I used strobe to take photos at a media wall. I have the portable Profoto B2 (head and battery pack) and a Manfrotto nano lightstand attached to the roller bag to be used for the setup.
The remaining space were my lenses and other gear. I am shooting with Canon EF 16-35mm f2.8L, Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L, Canon EF 100mm f2.8L Macro, Canon EF 70-200mm f2.8L IS. I also use the Canon 580EXii with Canon ST-E2 for off-camera trigger. I recently upgraded to the Canon 600EX-RT along with Yongnuo 600EX-RT and Yongnuo E3-RT. I’ll be reviewing those more at a later time.
Besides the usual stuff like battery and cables, I carry speciality items like a flash bracket from ProMediaGear, custom made CTO gels for my strobe and speedlites, gaffer tape and a multi-purpose clamp.
This should cover for most events, but still a bit lacking for a full wedding setup, but great as a second shooter.
As you can see, I have played with a lot of gear. I’ll be posting complete reviews of each product I’ve owned or used. I’ll be explaining why I made the decision to go with that product and hopefully it’ll help you with your decisions in the type of gear you need.
